A Large 1-7/8″ Wide Nut Guitar can help cramped fingers
We build and modify guitars for all players but especially for players with extra large or extra small hands. For example our extra large fret boards for players range from 1-7/8″ wide at the nut to 2-1/8″ wide. For players with small hands we shave down necks. This guitar was modified with the addition of a 2″ wide neck.
We want to trade pertinent information about Telecasters which can be difficult to play as is. Players cannot find guitars with wider necks to help them play without any roadblocks to their success as Tele players.

Wide Guitar Necks
Wide guitar necks are better for players with bigger hands or who want more Neck space in between each string. This is to facilitate fretting notes more cleanly. A wider nut offers more separation between the strings at the head stock end of the neck. The width of necks, and their shape as well, will suit certain players more than others. Often, it’s a case of the size and shape you need, and also the kind of playing preferred.

This guitar was built and designed for bigger guys, who have bigger fingers. The wider 2″ nut installed is much wider and meets the standards of larger players. Finger pickers, need and appreciate the “extra room” between the strings.
The benefits of the wider fret board include but are not limited to: better action. Also better pull-offs, no crowded fingers when chording. Note the easier finger placement, clearer notes. There is more real estate on the top of the fret board for the guitarist to play. This is a building technique to add comfort to playing a guitar. You cannot get this from “off the rack” instruments in a music store.

If your fingers are big, small neck guitars leave much to be desired with no room for movement. If you’re a big guy with a standard guitar neck, it’s not going to feel right. The standard width guitar neck will be too small for you. If you have a size 15 foot you need a size 15 shoe. Let us get you the right neck for your hand size.
