What does a Coil Split Switch do?
A coil split switch on a guitar allows a humbucker pickup to be used in a single-coil mode, essentially “splitting” one of the two coils within the humbucker and sending it to ground. This provides access to a single-coil tone, which is often brighter and more dynamic than the humbucker’s typical sound.
You’re going to love having all of the sounds and features of the two most popular single and double cutaway style solid body guitars combined into one amazing instrument.
The 2 pickup design with enhanced switching configuration allows the player to evoke the sounds of Hendrix, Clapton, and everything in between. Change from country to rock sounds with a mere flip of a switch!
