Standard Stratocaster Wiring:
The standard Stratocaster wiring scheme does not connect the bridge pickup to the tone control, meaning the tone control doesn’t affect the bridge pickup’s sound in those guitars.
Haywire’s Modification:
Haywire Custom Guitars offers modifications to their custom guitars to connect the bridge pickup to the tone control, allowing players to use the tone control to adjust the bridge pickup’s tone.
Why the Bridge Tone is Not Standard:
Some players find the bridge pickup to be too bright or shrill and would like to be able to dial it down with the tone control.
