Haywire builds custom-spec guitars with a variety of nut widths, including 1-3/4", 1-7/8", 2", or 2-1/8". Call ahead about specific guitars. Instead of carrying pre-made wide-neck models, they build them to your exact specifications. This allows you to choose the body, wood, electronics, and other features.
The wide neck Telecaster guitar neck is for larger players, Big guys who have big hands and fingers need these guitars. The added spacing between the strings make your guitar easier to play and give you more confidence that the target will be easier to hit. There are some acoustic guitars that feature a wide neck and more space between the strings. If you are used to playing one of these, then this wide neck on your new electric guitar will feel very familiar. Firstly, once you play our wide neck guitar the new experience will not only be amazing but greatly appreciated by your fingers. Second, it’s the best playing experience you’ll have.

A Large 1-7/8" Wide Nut Guitar can help cramped fingers. We build and modify guitars for all players but especially for players with extra large or extra small hands. For example our extra large fret boards for players range from 1-7/8″ wide at the nut to 2-1/8″ wide. For players with small hands we shave down necks. This guitar was modified with the addition of a 2″ wide neck.

At Haywire Custom Guitars we have replacement guitar necks for Fender electric guitars and many other styles of bolt on guitar necks. We can re-fret your existing guitar neck, replace it, shave the neck to a smaller thickness and profile or substitute a wide nut guitar neck. There is no reason a guitar player shouldn't have the best guitar neck possible. The best neck for a guitar player is one that is comfortable, fast, easy to play and reaches all notes, soft feeling dressed frets that allow for comfort while playing all night long.
