Thank you for visiting the Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) page of regarding your access and use of the Haywire Custom Guitars Inc. websites at . The “Website” is subject to the following terms and all applicable laws. By accessing and browsing the Website, calling the number on the site and/or ordering a product, or paying an invoice through our affiliate PayPal you accept the following terms without limitation or qualification, as well as such additional or amended terms and conditions as Haywire may from time to time publish. Certain services or other offerings made available on the Website may have additional terms and conditions that apply, and which can be viewed either on the pages containing such services or offerings, or via a link on those pages or other directions to the additional terms and conditions. Ordering a custom product or custom work requested and/or performed, cannot be returned. Doing business via this website constitutes a legal and binding agreement and when an invoice is paid it signifies you have read and agree to all terms and condition on our “terms and conditions” page. Therefore, paying your invoice constitutes reading and understanding the terms and conditions of our website.  Any shipping-damaged products may be returned only within 30 days and if damaged in shipping.   Return shipping & insurance is always paid for by the buyer.

Custom ordered products with specific build, part or special-order requests may not be returned. Other returned products must be returned in the exact same condition as shipped.

Note: Once we hand your order over to USPS, FedEx, UPS or whatever carrier used it is now out of our hands and we have NO control of your package. In which case, even if you specifically paid for “Overnight Delivery” and we get it out on time we still have no control over delivery times, thus cannot be responsible for late delivery.

We are not a shipping company and as such, not responsible for late shipments tendered on time by Haywire Custom Guitars Inc.  No refunds will be issued for late deliveries caused when packages sent, are out of our care, custody and control. Do not return for refund under these conditions as we will not accept return.  Return shipping & insurance is always paid for by the buyer.

If there is damage in shipping-please provide proof or “claim for damage” report filed by you with the shipping company delivering your package. If a report is not filed by you that will be taken to mean the product was received by you in undamaged condition.

We realize that consumers are concerned about how the information they provide online will be used. Please read our Privacy Policy for more details. We reserve the right to use emails sent to us. We post from time-to-time emails from customers on our website about how they feel about their new guitars. In some cases where competitors post up false reviews we can and will use these emails as evidence of the competitors spreading misinformation to unsuspecting consumers. Please be aware-false reviews posted by any to promote agendas will not be tolerated and they will be exposed.

Intended for Users Over 13

The Website is intended for use by individuals of at least 13 years of age or older. The Website is not directed for use by children under the age of 13. Users under the age of 13 must get the assistance of a parent or guardian to use the Website. Haywire Custom Guitars does provide products for children, but it sells them to adults only, who may purchase with a credit card.

Features and Specifications and Prices; Special Offers and Promotions

Features, specifications and prices of products and/or services described or depicted on the Website are subject to change at any time without notice. Weights and measures are approximate. Other product and service limitations and disclaimers may apply.

All prices shown on the Website are applicable solely for purchase by Users directly from Haywire Custom Guitars through the Website.

Special product or service offerings and promotions may be displayed from time to time on the Website and are considered discontinued and no longer valid once they are removed from the Website and/or as soon as the published expiration date for the offer/promotion expires. All offerings and promotions displayed on the Website are subject to change or cancellation at any time without notice.

Warranty:  Our Work and Products

We have a 60-day warranty on our work and work performed on your instrument. If an issue has not shown up by then, then most likely it was not an issue when it left the shop. On any new instruments built by us in the Haywire Custom Shop, the warranty is one year. Used Instruments we re-sell and refurbish the warranty is also 60 days. Work on our products performed or work attempted by anyone other than the Haywire Custom Shop Inc. voids your warranty entirely.

Guitars and Other Repair Items/Property Left over 60 days

If guitars and/or other items are left with us over 60 days, arrangements must be made within one week after the 60-day period to have them picked up or payment/label to ship to your location must be sent so we can return the items. If after the aforementioned 67 days the guitar or other item left with us has not been claimed, shipping payment not made or label not sent to us, then the property will be considered to be abandoned. Abandoned items become the property of Haywire Custom Guitars. We will dispose of them as necessary.

Product Availability

The Website refers to products and/or services that are generally available for purchase in the 48 continental United States, Alaska, and Hawaii, though Haywire Custom Guitars cannot guarantee the availability of a product at any given time. This is why we have provisions for Custom Orders. The reference to any products or services in this Website does not warrant or imply that these products or services will be available at any time in your particular locality. Haywire Custom Guitars cannot guarantee specific dates when the products offered on this Website will be available and/or received by customers. Generally, 6-8 weeks to build a custom guitar is not unusual and about average. If changes are requested, then it could take longer. Try and make any changes before the build begins so as to keep the delivery time schedule short. We will do our best to keep in communication with our customers regarding their purchases as we have a full YEAR warranty on our workmanship but most of all, we want them to be happy! We want our customers to see and feel that they have derived a generous value for their hard-earned cash.

Product Display / Colors

The Website attempts to display product images shown on the Website as accurately as possible. However, Haywire Custom Guitars cannot guarantee that the image or color you see displayed on your monitor represents the actual product or conforms to the specifications of the product you have selected. If you have any questions about product appearance/specifications, please contact us before placing your order. The Website does not contain images of each offered item because some of them are Custom and not built and/or modified yet.

Sales Tax Policy

Sales tax may or may not be added to each order, subject to federal, state, and local tax laws. We will do our best to accurately calculate sales tax, but errors may occur due to the large number of tax districts or other reasons.

Order Acceptance/Confirmation

Your receipt of an electronic or other form of order confirmation does not signify our acceptance of your order, nor does it constitute

confirmation of our offer to sell. The Website reserves the right at any time after receipt of your order to accept or decline your order for any reason. You will normally not be charged if we reject an order, but we will process a refund if the charge has been made against you in error. Any large orders will be subject to a down payment commensurate with the amount.

Paying for Your Order

You may pay for your order by Master Card, Visa, or American Express credit card through PAY-PAL and/or other accepted methods such as: Money Order and Personal Check. The accepted methods of payment may change at Haywire Custom Guitars sole discretion. Orders for custom built products may not be canceled or returned.

Order Cancellation/ Layaway

Orders for custom products may not be canceled or returned. If a deposit is posted on an item for sale to hold, it’s a layaway. Layaway allows a customer to put a deposit on an item—a guitar for example—that the seller holds, typically in a store/online etc. The customer makes installment payments on it over time and can then pick up the item once the balance has been paid in full. Layaway originated during the Great Depression. Retailers use a number of different refund policies for layaway transactions. Haywire Custom Guitars will give credit toward future purchases.  All money, including deposits are non-refundable and will be applied as store credit if the Layaway is canceled for any reason. Sale items and promo codes are not applicable to layaway. 

Return Policy

In order to keep prices low on the Website, all sales are final. However, in the event that we ship you the wrong product(s) you may return the product(s). Returns will not be accepted without prior authorization and Haywire Custom Guitars issuance of a Return Goods Authorization (RGA) number. All unauthorized returns of merchandise will be returned to sender and a credit will not be issued, unless otherwise specified in advance. All other returns subject to our 20% restocking fee and original shipping fees and insurance. For example, many of our guitars a refurbished or trade-ins and are considered used. They are listed publicly on Reverb as well. You may peruse the listings for all details. Don’t buy the guitar if you cannot live with the fact it is used with an issue or two. We don’t live in a perfect world. Don’t look for perfection when you purchase a used guitar.  You may be disappointed. It is a well known fact for example that Fender guitar designs are subject to stress cracks in and around the area where the neck meets the body. The cracks are caused by the design flaw of being too thin in that particular spot and most Fender Strats and Teles are subject to this flaw. The cracks are merely in the finish and do not extend into the wood and in no way affect the playability or longevity of the guitars. Returning a guitar for that reason will definitely generate the 20% re-stocking fee. If you need perfection-buy NEW. Our prices reflect the condition of our well inspected instruments. However the guitars we sell are for Pro players and most know that a used guitar may have an issue or two but they focus on the action, intonation, playability, as well as sound and other features. Players that play for a living do not intend to enter their guitars in a “beauty contest”, therefore they are not as superficial as other buyers. If you ask for and receive and changes to the guitar you order, it’s considered “custom work”. Custom work is not refundable. So please, don’t ask. When we substitute an neck from one guitar to another or add a new neck to a guitar you purchase that is considered “custom work” specific to YOU. We then have to align it on all 4 axis, add strings, set the action, intonation, pickup height adjust the nut etc. and it takes time and effort. Please don’t try and minimize our efforts by asking us not the charge for that when you return a guitar for “frivolous” reasons such as cosmetic issues that have nothing to do with the playability of the instrument. That is a personal problem. If in doubt, just ask. Tell us what you will not tolerate and save us the time of shipping out a guitar that will be returned by you for superficial and frivolous reasons.  Sure, in almost all cases we’ll accept the return but it will cost you 20%. We do not send out “demos” or loaners or guitars for you to test and give your “evaluation on”.  We’re not here for that. We’re musicians working for musicians and our prices are low as well we do no advertising to keep them that way. We respect musicians, so please respect us and pay us for our work. You don’t work free so why should anyone else? Do not expect anything from a worker you would not do yourself.  If you have difficulty with your Haywire Custom Guitars purchase, please contact and ask us to arrange a Return Authorization. All returns must be accompanied by a valid Return Authorization Number (RA#). You must contact us at the means below to receive an RA#. All returns that do not clearly display an RA# on the outside of the packaging will automatically be refused. To be eligible for return all items must be in ‘like-new’ condition. Items which show wear will not be eligible for a return. Product being returned must be packaged securely and with sufficient protection to avoid damage in transit. If, in our opinion, any product shows evidence of alteration, damage, misuse, improper handling or insufficient packaging, it will not be eligible for exchange, refund or warranty consideration. Custom work is not refundable. Custom work is defined as those extra-charge services which make your body or neck especially unique and difficult to resell. Any work on our guitars performed outside of our custom shop will void the warranty and return. These include, but are not limited to: Original shipping charges, return shipping charges and any customs fees or duties are non-refundable. Custom orders that have been formally acknowledged by Haywire Custom Guitars, Inc. and then confirmed by the customer are not refundable for reasons other than material or workmanship defect.

Enforcement of Provisions

These Terms are governed and interpreted pursuant to the laws of the State of South Carolina, United States of America, without reference to its provisions concerning conflicts of law. Any and all dispute(s) concerning the validity or interpretation of these Terms, or performance hereunder, shall be brought exclusively in a court of competent jurisdiction located in the County of Horry, State of South Carolina, which shall constitute the exclusive venue for any such dispute(s). If any part of these Terms is unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that part will be deemed severable and will not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions. Haywire Custom Guitars may revise these Terms at any time by updating this posting.

Haywire Custom Guitars may terminate these Terms at any time, without notice and for any reason. You agree that if any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remainder of these Terms will remain in full force and effect.


All orders placed on this Website are shipped to your attention to the location you specify. If you want it shipped to your work address, we will do that as well (using your name in the shipping label on the box) or at your employer’ ship-to location. This is to ensure that your employer is aware that you are making a purchase for your personal use and to ensure that you are still employed by the particular employer. If your employer will not accept our shipments, please contact us, and we will attempt to resolve the issue. All orders placed on this Website are subject to product availability and will be shipped as soon as possible after we contact you to let you know the approximate time frame of any Custom work or modification not in stock and completion of work. The risk of loss and title for ordered merchandise pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier. This means that product damaged in transit is the carrier’s responsibility and is an issue to be resolved between you and the carrier. Should a carrier not meet its delivery performance requirements, i.e., next day air before 10:30am, this is an issue to be resolved between you and the carrier. If any damage occurs in shipping report it to the carrier immediately. If this is not done insurance from them is voided.

Shipping & Handling Costs

Shipping and handling costs per order from the Website depend in part upon the products and shipping methods chosen, and please note that shipping and handling costs for many items are weight- and/or size-based. We try our best to use the most economical method for you. Should a return be necessary, and a refund granted, shipping costs as with any purchase from anywhere requiring shipping (Shipping Options& Costs) cannot be refunded, please make a note of this and do not ask us to make an exception.

Delivery Schedules are ESTIMATES based upon UPS guidelines

UPS has a very high on time delivery record, but severe weather or other service interruptions could impact the delivery schedule. We cannot influence or control any shipping schedules once your order leaves our facility. We cannot offer any refunds for shipments which arrive late due to weather or other events deemed beyond the control of the carrier. Please plan your Order Date and Shipping Method accordingly.

We offer 3 Shipping Service Options:

  • Standard Delivery Service – Allow up to 5 Business Days, AFTER your order ships and Worldwide allow 9 days.
  • Expedited Delivery Service (3-Day) – Your order should arrive by End of Day, 3 Business Days AFTER your order ships.
  • Express Delivery Service (2-Day) – Your order should arrive by End of Day, 2 Business Days AFTER your order ships.

Questions about Shipping

The time it takes to receive your order is a combination of two elements: Processing Time and the Shipping Time. Processing Time is the time it takes us to select and pack your order for shipment—generally 1 to 2 days. Shipping Time is the time it takes the shipping company to take your order from our warehouse to your door. This time depends on where you live and which shipping method you choose. For guidance, please refer to the chart below. Please note that processing and shipping times indicated below are Business Days and do not include weekends or holidays.
